What Makes Sachi's Cafe Special
Coffee Beans
At Sachi's Cafe, we are deeply committed to the quality of our coffee beans. That’s why we use beans from Klatch Coffee, a world-renowned specialty coffee roaster.
Founded in 1993 near Los Angeles, California, Klatch Coffee carefully selects only top-quality beans with cupping scores of 85 points or higher.
They also practice direct trade, working closely with producers and often paying 25% more than fair trade prices—sometimes even two to three times more. This approach not only ensures sustainability but also helps improve the quality of the coffee over time.
Klatch Coffee has earned numerous international awards, including the title of World’s Best Espresso at the 2007 World Barista Championship in Tokyo. Their exceptional flavor and quality are recognized worldwide.

Coffee Machine
To offer the best possible coffee experience, Sachi's Cafe uses a high-end espresso machine from Eversys, a Swiss brand known for precision and innovation.
Eversys operates under the concept of “Creating tradition through technology,” faithfully reproducing the skills of top baristas through advanced engineering. This ensures that every cup delivers consistent, high-quality flavor—no matter who makes it. In 2024, Eversys was awarded the World Coffee Innovation Award, gaining international recognition for its balance of innovation and quality.
Eversys machines are also designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind. They minimize waste of energy and resources, making them ideal for places like Shiga Kogen, where harmony with nature is essential. Even during busy hours, the machine delivers fast and precise extraction, allowing us to serve every customer their coffee at its best, without delay.

Obuse Milk
For our lattes, cappuccinos, and other milk-based drinks, Sachi's Cafe proudly uses Obuse Milk, produced locally in Obuse Town, Nagano Prefecture. This milk is known for its rich yet clean flavor, made possible through a unique low-temperature, long-time pasteurization method—heated at 80°C for 15 minutes.
This careful and time-consuming process limits the daily production, but ensures a taste that truly reflects the care and heart put into every bottle. Obuse Milk is also available in glass bottles, and is loved by locals as a milk that can be enjoyed with all five senses.
Its gentle aroma and smooth sweetness pair beautifully with the bold espresso we serve at Sachi's Cafe, creating a well-balanced and deeply satisfying cup.
Eat-In Space
Our eat-in space is located inside Sachinoyu. Relax in a calm atmosphere while enjoying the natural beauty of Shiga Kogen through the windows. Takeout is also available.

Shiga Kogen is just as magical at night♪ Enjoy stargazing from Sachinoyu at 1,650 meters above sea level, take in the night views from scenic spots, and in summer, you can even watch fireflies just a short walk away.
Cycle Station
Located along the Shiga-Kusatsu Route, Sachinoyu welcomes many cyclists during the green season. Feel free to use our facilities as a rest stop during your ride or training. Bike washing and tool rentals are also available.
